We reviewed and updated the oriental lamps that light up tents.
The plastic lamp, Mora, was inspired by traditional, die stamped, metal Moroccan lamps that let the light filter through the gaps, producing a suggestive luminous effect. It looks like them in its shape and in its texture. The idea was to use a language, a technology and contemporary materials to give it a new life. Users can establish the same emotional relationship that they would with a traditionally made lamp, but the fact that it has been updated responds to current needs. The shape has derived towards a compact volume of pure geometry, whilst the texture creates a contrast with these lines that are drawn in low relief which reproduces a weft drawn by Mariscal. On the top, it is finished off with a black semi-sphere and a circle that allows it to be carried around easily or to be hung from a tree or a pergola.
