Mariscal designed this vase by converting a Spanish graphic topic into an abstraction with organic shapes

When Bidasoa decided to renew its catalogue with very personal, designer pieces, it asked Mariscal to produce several items, such as the Olé Vase. To do this, Mariscal investigated the Spanish graphic topics: Flamenco dancers, bullfighters, Cordoba hats, etc. He finally opted for the abstraction of an organic shape, with stains of colour topped off by a ring that looks like a hat. For this order, solving the technical difficulties of firing a piece of pottery like this was very interesting.
